Well looky here! I made it back to my internet abode! I didn’t intend to be away so long, really, truly! I got walloped by a couple of anaphylactic reactions. Those are not my friend! I am on a quest to figure this madness out and have made some more dietary changes (I will post more on that another day!). So far, I am making progress!
Progress is my friend!!!
In between the wallopings I received, I did enjoy the Holidays! Matt turned into Captain Christmas and saved the day! He also took some time off and we did some fun things as a family! Seeing Star Wars in Dbox seats was top on the list!
I have missed blogging so much that I find myself laying in bed thinking of things I want to say and recipes I want to post for you! One day I realized that I never posted a very simple kitchen staple that I use ALL the time! The basics of having and maintaining a grain free kitchen are pretty important…so, today is the day I share with you how I make BAKING POWDER!
Revolutionary content is being shared with you right now!!!
Did you know that most baking powder contains corn? I didn’t know that for a long time! It’s those little hidden ingredients that we use all the time that can sabotage the best of efforts.
The good news is that you can make your own grain free baking powder in a jiffy!
I thought so!
2 parts cream of tarter
1 part baking soda
That is it!
Mix em up and place your newly made baking powder in a airtight container. You are now ready to bake to your little hearts desire!
I almost forgot, I just got My Paleo Patisserie by Jenni Hulet!!!!! I cannot wait to bake from that book! The recipes and photos are stunning! Ava is going to pick something out and I will let you know how it goes!
- 2 parts cream of tartar
- 1 part baking soda
- Mix the baking soda and cream of tartar together. Store in an airtight jar or container.
