Guacamole…otherwise known as Mokey Mokey at the Hyatt house! When my girls were younger they named guacamole, Mokey Mokey and the name has stuck! I mean how cute is that! As a baby my Sophia refused to eat any type of baby food so I started feeding her guacamole and she loved it! She also loved garlic mashed potatoes and croutons, the girl had some interesting tastebuds for her age.
I often have my girls help with dinner by making this recipe for us. Nothing wrong with a little help in the kitchen!
This guacamole is a quick and easy recipe that is sure to be devoured! Both of my girls still try to grab the bowl and be the first to get some! In fact, I made this yesterday while they were playing outside and Matt and I enjoyed dipping our plantain chips quietly without having to defend our portion of guacamole from grabbing hands. It was a rather pleasant moment!
Just looking at this creamy goodness makes me hungry!
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- ½ lemon, juiced
- 1t salt
- Peel your ripe avocados and place in a bowl. Grab yourself a fork and start mashing! Once the avocado is well mashed add in remaining ingredients. Serve immediately!
- *Tip - If you aren't going to be eating the guacamole right away you can place the pit from a couple of the avocados in the bowl with the guacamole and place plastic wrap tightly over the bowl. This usually keeps it from turning brown right away!
